The Fish Creek Farm principals must have had an inkling when naming their bull Storm that it was sure to cause a fuss.

Thats certainly what it did in the Speckle Park judging ring when the two-year-old bull Fish Creek Farm Storm M1 (ET) was sashed best exhibit.
The growthy sire bred by Jason and Sarah Keays, South Gippsland, Victoria, was by far the heaviest in his class at 950 kilograms and had fat scans on the rump and rib of 16/12 millimetres. It soared above its competition with an eye muscle area of 135 centimetres squared.
Mr and Mrs Keays have a high opinion of Fish Creek Farm Storm M1 (ET) having already put the bull with their cows and have calves on the ground. Those calves are looking very promising, Mr Keays said.
The bull was by SPKNZ Extreme E27 (ET) from dam Almarlea 03M Lacey F160 (ET).
The reserve senior bull Fish Creek Farm Lightning (ET) (exhibited by Six Star Special Park) was a full brother to the best exhibit.
Junior champion bull went to Wattle Grove Hes A Natural M120 bred by Dale and Belinda Humphries and family, Wattle Grove, Oberon. The high performance junior tipped the scales at 704kg, had a EMA of 105cm2 and rump and rib fat scans of 6mm/5mm. The bull was by Wattle Grove 31K Eagle K1 (ET). His dam Wattle Grove E41 Unique J134 was sold with calf for $19,000 last year.
Reserve junior bull went to Jackungah Money Maker (ET) exhibited by Jack Nelson, Jackungah stud, Pine Lodge, Victoria.
Grand champion female went to AAA Fancy Pants M17 (ET) exhibited by Denis and Theresa Roberts, AAA Speckle Park, Oberon.
The senior females past show successes have included champion female at Melbourne Royal last year as a junior. AAA Fancy Pants M17 (ET) was by AAA Moses (ET) from dam Wattle Grove 68L Fancy Pants E17 (ET). Mr Roberts said the cow would be retained in the herd and flushed in spring.
Reserve senior female was AAA Lavender L28 exhibited by Hanging Rock stud, Newham, Vic.
Junior champion female was also exhibited by the Humphries family for Wattle Grove Elvira N41 (ET).
Mr Humphries said this was the heifers first showing and they particularly liked her conformation and femininity. The April 2017-drop female was by Maintstream Eldorado E11 (ET) from 82U Kolor Me Kate G74 (ET).
Reserve junior female was picked up by Wattle Grove Miss Wow N10 (ET) bred by the Humphries family.
